About This Project
Bus Stop is a honest dance piece born from the fusion of Animato and Kinetica, two powerful techniques developed by Nadin Bommer. It was created during a unique collaboration between the Nadin Bommer Dance Company and the Centre de Danse du Marais in Paris, this project brought together movement, emotion, and experimentation.
Anita Van Quynh and I, we were selected as part of a scholarship program to train for one month and perform in this piece. It was more than training, it was a deep dive into a new way of moving and connecting. New way of storytelling and a choreographic interpretation of daily movements. The performance took place at the Centre de Danse du Marais and opened with a choreographed piece called Bus Stop, followed by a live jam session where the audience joined us in the experience.
Animato Art is not just a dance technique, as Nadin puts it herself: it’s a living language! It blends imagination, physicality, and emotion, pulling from nature, the sea, and the subconscious. It invites full-body expression and creates a real-time connection between dancer and audience.
Bus Stop was about people, presence, and shared space. It blurred the lines between stage and street, performer and viewer. It left something behind, something felt, not just seen. Something which is still alive within my dancing body…
